Seminars & Workshops
The Institute offers several continuing education seminar and workshop formats for psychotherapists seeking to improve their clinical work. Classes are offered for physicians, psychologists and social workers. IIGP is approved by the Michigan State Medical Society to sponsor continuing education for physicians. IIGP maintains responsibility for the programs and their content. Our programs are approved by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative for Social Workers for Continuing Education.
- The Tuesday Seminars provide a lively format to discuss current clinical issues. Each topic is covered in 3 consecutive Tuesdays from 12:15 pm to 1:30 pm. This format is approved for 3.5 CEU’s and the tuition is $50.00. Click on “Workshop Schedule” above to find out more information about the Seminars being offered.
- The Challenging Clinical Issues workshops deal with practical dilemmas facing therapists in practice. Some of the topics include: “Why Doesn’t my Patient Change?”, “Faith and Psychotherapy”, “The Silent Patient”, “The Angry Patient”. These 2-hour workshops offer 2 CEU’s and the tuition is $25.00.
