The Effects of Terrorism on our lives as Therapists and on the Lives of our Patients

This course will cover the different types of terrorist activities described in the literature and in videos in order to evoke feelings/reactions and thoughts which therapists need to identify and address in themselves and in their patients

Participants will:
1. be able to identify different types of terrorism.
2. be able to identify their feeling response while viewing videos of terrorist activities.
3. discern potential effects that terrorist activities have on their patients.
4. be able to set therapeutic goals in order to treat post traumatic stress reactions to the media presentation of terrorism.
